General Policy is that once an ancestor has been established as a qualifying ancestor then the burden shifts to disprove. New ancestors (not previously established) have the burden of proof.

The best place to start is the ancestry of Charlemagne. While his ancestry does not affect the qualifying ancestry for any of the Old World Societies it does provide a historical context for the enormous accomplishments of Charlemagne. Those accomplishments will be one of the focuses for the website of the Colonial Order of the Crown. www.colonialorderofthecrown.org.

There seems to be a consensus up to and including his grandparents.
